UA Residents, get ready to start your engines and play ball! Pretty soon, the leaves will be changing, and it will feel like fall. It is time to say our unofficial goodbye to summer with our annual Labor Neighbor Day event.
This year we will continue the tradition of holding a bike race competition and a Wiffle ball tournament on Labor Day with the races in the morning and the tournaments in the afternoon. Details about each event, how and when to register, and the requirements for participation are below.

Location: Hastings Middle School Track & Adjacent Baseball Fields (1850 Hastings Ln, Upper Arlington, OH, 43220)
Date: September 4th (all day)
Times: Bike Races: 9:00am – 12:00pm Wiffle Ball Tournaments: 12:15am – 5:00pm

Monday September 4, 2023 @ 9:00am
· Check-in 8:00 — 9:00am – 2 & under, 3-4 tricycle/balance bike, 3-4 bicycle, 5-6 bicycle races
· Check-in 9:00 – 10:00am – Adaptive/accessible, 7-8 bicycle, 9-10 bicycle, 11-12 bicycle, tandem bicycle races
- Races grouped by age and boy/girl format.
- Begins with 2 & under; Finishes with the 11-12 year olds.
- Adult & child tandem races will also be on the schedule.
Requirements:
- Helmets! Riders have to bring their own
- Correct Age! Registration age is rider's age as of September 4th, 2023
All riders receive a participation ribbon. Trophies awarded for top finishers by race type.
Pet Judging Requirements:
Date: Monday, September 4th, 2023
Time: Check in begins at 11:00, parade will begin promptly at 11:30
Location: Hastings Tennis Courts
Pets will be judged in four different categories:

September 4th (afternoon): Wiffle Ball Tournament
Hastings baseball/lacrosse field behind Hastings Middle School (1850 Hastings Ln, Upper Arlington, OH 43220)
Registration: open on August 7th, 2023
Each team should have at least 7 players to register a team and a parent/guardian name and email address for each child
Tournament is broken up into two groups: 10 & Under and 11-14. Depending on the number of teams, each group will either be broken up into two divisions with a round robin, semifinal and final; or it will be a double elimination tournament. Games will be 4-5 innings with a 25 minute time limit.

- All Ages: Afternoon of September 4th
- Check-in Time: 12:15pm (first pitch starts promptly at 1:00pm)
- 10 & Under: All players the age of 10 or under on September 4, 2023
- 11 to 14: All players are 11 to 14 years old (Includes 11 and 14 year olds) on September 4, 2023
Requirements:
- Correct age! The participants registered age is the age as of September 4th 2023
- 7 player minimum to field a team, but no more than 10 players
- Each team must have one adult coach and a designated captain.
- Waivers! They will be sent after registration and have to be signed to participate
